• Walking Tour of Wouthwark: Follow in the footsteps of Shakespeare during a Walking Tour of Southwark, once the Elizabethan theater district. Visit Southwark Cathedral where many actors and playwrights attended services and where Shakespeare’s brother is buried. We will see the spot where Chaucer’s Tabard Inn once stood. We will also visit the sites where The Rose and the Globe Theaters originally stood.  (No entrances included.)
• Royal Shakespeare Company Performance:  Performance of “Romeo and Juliet” at The Globe (travel via Tube; seats and rates are subject to availability; 2019 schedule and rates not yet published – estimated ticket included)
• Cultural Visits:
  • Historic Theater District Walk – At the heart of the theater district, Covent Garden is a lively area with a lively history.  Enjoy the splendors of the Royal Opera House, the buzz of the street performers, and hear tales of London’s theatrical history.  See how social customs affected the architecture of theaters (no entrances included);
  • Backstage Tour of the Royal Drury Lane Theater (entrance included), where British theater was born 300 years ago; since its construction in 1663, the Theater Royal has triumphed over tragedy, fire, bankruptcy, argument, and even murder;
  • Victoria & Albert Museum in Kensington – The Theater and Performance collections are an incredible resource that document current practice and the history of all areas of performing arts in the UK, including drama, dance, opera, circus, puppetry, comedy, musical theater, costume, set design, pantomime, popular music and much more (entrance to permanent collection is free of charge
